Welcome to the St Peter's Baptist Church, Worcester sermon blog. Here you can find links to some of our recently recorded sermons. Please also visit our video blog which contains some videos about our church, or videos we have used in some of our recent services.
I found the analogy of friendship evolving and growing compared to the rings of a tree very helpful. We all let our friends down but it is so good to know Jesus as a friend - the one who is ever trustworthy, faithful and forgiving. Thank you for such an interesting message. Jo
What a great message! It made me realise how important 'life friends' like Jonathan are. I feel that in the general haste of life it's so easy to neglect friendship in the pursuit of ticking off other ostensibly important tasks.
I would be very interested in any comments, especially on; - the extent to which you view your relationship with Jesus as a friendship - Facebook, and how it can be (or is) used as a force for good - The Shack, if you have read it what impact did it have on you?
I enjoyed this sermon on friendship. It made me pick up the phone and make time for some lifelong friends. It was interesting to note that we all value fairly similar things in friends.
I'm glad it prompted you to pick up the phone to some friends. I saw my brother and his family on Monday (which is relatively rare) which made me think that in fact it can be easy to view family members as somehow in a different category to friends whereas we could probably all invest a bit more in these friendships too.
Have just listened to the Sermon via your website...very inspiring. Also what a great facility when getting into church is difficult (chesty baby). Thankyou
